Mark is a Registered Social Worker in Peterborough Ontario who has specialized in individual, couple and family counselling for over 35 years. His experiences include working in various clinical organizations including hospitals, community services, and mental health organizations as well as private practice. Mark has also supported other professional Counsellors and Social Workers through supervision and consultation. Mark's style is very warm, welcoming and approachable. He approaches each client with genuine care and concern in a professional manner.

Mark has lived in the Peterborough area since 1988. His wife Ann provides occasional administrative office support and has her Bachelor of Social Work degree. Mark loves the outdoors and is very happy on his bike, in his canoe or in the water.  

Mark graduated with his Masters in Social Work (1978) from the University of Toronto after completing his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Social Sciences. His training also includes specialization in marriage and family therapy, and individual psychotherapy. He has additional experience and training with helping with trauma recovery. Mark uses an approach that is suited to each client and their needs which could be based on modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, or Psychodynamic theories. Mark has experience in these and other modalities that he brings into his work with clients to facilitate personal growth and wellbeing in their lives and relationships. This enables clients to move beyond existing to truly living the life they want.
